What Our Students Are Saying

Over the past 15 years we have had the pleasure to have taught hundreds of students, from kindergarteners to seniors. Take a moment to read what our students are saying about our lessons and instructor, Frank Grossi.

Frank is unlike any other music instructor I have ever met. Growing up, I took lessons in flute, cello, piano and guitar. None of these instructors were as intuitive as Frank. None of them were able to make the lessons fun and creative the way he does naturally. My son began his lessons in guitar with Frank at age ten. Frank’s love of music was infectious and John looked forward to his weekly lessons for the years that followed. By the time John was a teenager, he could play anything his heart desired, and even though he was not taking lessons from Frank on a regular basis at that point, he frequently got together with Frank to “jam”. I was lucky enough to participate sometimes by singing along to the beautiful rhythms created by Frank and John. As time went by, Frank encouraged me to pursue my passion for singing, and he has often accompanied me so I can learn a new song or two. I had done this frequently with my son, but after he left for college, Frank has been a blessing to me…keeping my voice alive.

John is still playing his guitar as often as possible, and takes it everywhere. He has found a group of friends in college that get together with him regularly to make music. He has performed for others as well. Frank even helped us find a small “travel” guitar for John to take on his outdoor adventures.

Frank has a gift…he helps one find the unique and creative musician that resides in all of us, instilling a passion for all things musical. I will be forever grateful for the impact Frank has had on our son and our entire family.

Frank is a wonderful instructor. He is always friendly, patient and willing to explore any type of music. Lessons are always enjoyable and informative. He genuinely cares about his students and wants to help them improve as musicians.

My daughter has taken guitar lessons from Frank for almost 3 years. During that time, he helped transform a 10-yr-old whose only musical experience was playing the recorder she learned in school to a young lady whose number one passion in life is playing guitar. Rather than taking a "my way or the highway" approach to teaching, Frank allows each student to learn in a manner and a speed that is most comfortable to that student. Frank is truly one of the kindest, most gentle people I have ever met and I believe his gentle hand helps guide beginning players forward towards a love affair with music while minimizing the frustration of learning a new instrument.

My girls have been with Frank for 3 years and we couldn’t be happier. He has a way of connecting with his students that makes learning fun. He demonstrates a willingness to adapt and change to every student’s needs.

Frank makes favorable impressions and easily gains the acceptance of his students. He allows them to explore their own creativity and inspires them to grow musically. My daughter has been a student of Frank for 7 years and she continues to learn something new every week. Frank’s patience and expertise is very much appreciated.
